====================

Isn't it hard to quickly increase website traffic? Even IF
you submit a website url to search engines or directories,
it can take quite a while before you get listed. Do you get
ants in your pants, waiting for the effects of the
submissions to begin to trickle? It's difficult to wait for
the traffic to start popping, isn't it?

Getting thousands of visitors within a few days sounds
great, but how do you do that at a low cost?

As far as real solutions go, the easiest, cheapest and best
way to increase website traffic is to write articles and
submit them to ezines and directories. Create a topic idea,
brush up your writing skills, and if you have a few hours
to draft up an article, you can get ezine publishers
interested in publishing your article. There's usually no
cost involved, so this type of promotion is great for small
business owners, who don't have a lot of money to spend on
advertising.

Your resource box is very important. It will be the key to
your viral marketing success. Ezine publishers want and
need good content. If an ezine is published a few times a
week, article posts make publisher lives a lot easier. It's
difficult for ezine publishers to write and/or locate all of
the content that goes into a good ezine. Many publishers
can't afford to pay for content and some of them won't pay
for it, no matter what.

Using resource boxes can save you money! In exchange for
permitting your content to be published at no cost, the
author will be allowed to place one small business plug at
the end of the article. These resource boxes are put at the
end of your articles. Resource boxes contain a short
information plug about the author and an email link or a
link to a website. They should not be a blatant ad. They
should describe what you do for a living on the net.

Does it really make sense to write articles just to get a
resource box plug? Yes, because you aren't publishing the
article in just a single ezine. Articles can be passed on
for years; write a single article and you'll have the
benefit of seeing it published by quite a few ezines. This
allows resource boxes within the articles, to reach a lot
of subscribers that are normally out of your reach. This
also increases your website traffic. People you might never
reach, will have access to your information through that
small resource box, as it gets passed around.

Your resource box is very important. It should state your
"clickable" website url. It's more convenient for the
reader to click on the link rather than making them open a
new browser window to cut, copy and paste your contact
information.

If you can't write a good resource box, hire someone to
create several different resource boxes so you can compare
performance. Careful resource box testing will allow you to
monitor how well each article draws readers into your
website.

To accomplish a successful article campaign, start by
checking out websites that might relate to your topic and
agree to publish the articles in their ezines. Next, try
search engines and ezine directories to start the viral
marketing of your article. This is a lot cheaper than
paying for advertising, if you get enough ezines to promote
your article. Why post and pay for a lot of ads when free
article posts can get you seen in thousands of ezines?
